A crawl space in Staten Island, New York was moist and humid and the homeowners wanted to encapsulate it. Our System Design Specialist inspected the crawl space and wanted to install an encapsulation system.
First, Drainage Matting was installed on the crawl space floors to provide a channel for the water to be directed to the perimeter drain. The matting has raised dimples to ensure the water does not get trapped on the crawl space floor. SilverGlo was installed on the crawl space walls to reflect heat back into the crawl space for ultimate energy savings.
SilverGlo keeps the cold out and the heat in. CleanSpace was installed on the crawl space walls and floors to seal off the crawl space, hold back water vapor and humidity. CleanSpace is a durable bright white liner that will not rip or tear making it perfect for storage. EverLast Doors were installed on the crawl space windows to seal off the crawl space, keep pests, cold air and heat out. This crawl space is encapsulated and can be used for storage.
A Staten Island homeowner was experiencing leaking in their basement from a crack in their poured concrete wall. Quality 1st Basements was called to help solve the problem. Foreman Juan Garcia and his team decided that FlexiSpan was the perfect solution. FlexiSpan is a flexible sealant made of open cell foam and waterproof sealant that works with the walls movement. This sealant ensures that the entire crack is sealed, even if there is a change in the wall. FlexiSpan fits smoothly over a wall, blending in with a concrete wall. This solution helped the homeowners keep their basement dry and healthy!
A Brooklyn homeowner had moisture in their basement and found Quality 1st Basements in their internet search. System Design Specialist, Jeff Nero went to inspect the home and noticed the moisture the homeowners had reported. WaterGuard was installed in the basement by Foreman, Victor Leon and his crew. WaterGuard is installed below the floor slab out of the "mud zone" so the drain does not clog. The WaterGuard system collects water that seeps in through basement walls and drains it into the sump pump. This basement is fully waterproofed and ready to be used by the homeowners!
A homeowner in the Bronx was experiencing water and moisture on their basement walls. The homeowners turned to Quality 1st Basements for a waterproofing solution. CleanSpace Wall System was installed to hold back water vapor that is passing through the foundation walls and directing the water to the sump pump. CleanSpace also is a great way to upgrade your basement walls, giving them a clean look. Now the homeowners can enjoy a clean, dry basement!
This basement had bowing walls with horizontal and vertical cracks which the NY homeowner knew were signs of foundation problems. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to meet with a specialist who could provide a permanent solution. System Design Specialist, Jeff Nero, recommended Carbon Armor Wall Reinforcing System to stabilize the basement walls. The larger strips are fiber reinforced polymers that are ten times stronger then steel and will slowly pull the wall back to its original position. Carbon Armor is a quick installation with no impact on future basement finishing making it a great solution for this unfinished basement.
