This particular property was unable to be sold with the basement water problem that was occurring. Brookstone contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems inspector, Ken Peare, to consult him on the basement waterproofing needs since Quality 1st Basement Systems already helped this property company with over 25 other properties. Upon inspection, Ken discovered a neglected, damp, and wet basement. The basement had no sump pump at all! The walls and floors were stained which was evidence of water penetration and standing water. There were also signs of puddling in all four corners of the basement.
Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a full perimeter WaterGuard basement waterproofing system. WaterGuard is installed in the floor around the entire basement so that all of the water will go into the WaterGuard and drain out of the basement. The installation team also installed a TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard collects the water from the floor-wall joint and connects to the TripleSafe sump pump system. The TripleSafe sump pump has redundant primary pumps with a battery back-up sump pump, charging system, and a separate Direct Current pump in case of power outages.
